Here I have for sale Jelanda, she is a 65ft Liverpool Boats 1997, she comes complete with a free 2 month mooring included in the sale, which will start from the point a deposit is taken. The mooring is located in the beautiful Fradley junction Hunts Loch. There is an option to extend the mooring, should the new owner require this. I have spoken to CRT to confirm this is O.K. She is fully furnished and EVERYTHING in the pictures are included in the sale of the boat.
There is too much to list and I have lots more photos should you require them via email.
I have owned this boat and lived aboard for 3 years. I bought it from Stourport on the River Seven and it was owned by a couple who moved to Australia and used the boat on the occasions they came back to the UK. The boat yard was instructed by the couple to carry out any work necessary to keep it in tip top condition. It is a100% self contained, off grid live aboard boat. Everything on the boat is powered by the huge 1200w solar system or by the 5kva 215hrs (less than 1 year old) electric start, red diesel generator. This powers the washer dryer, dishwasher, Iron, hair dryer and microwave comfortably. The electric system is 12v and 240v. Day to day, the running of the boat is powered by the sun, even the 240v 50inch wide screen is powered by the batteries and the generator is only needed to power the heavy electrical equipment or to boost the batteries on those dark winter nights for a 40 mins max. The batteries are on float 14.4v and the panels shut off most mornings by 10am!! From time to time I connect the starter battery to the system to float the battery when not in use, via a set of leads to keep it in good condition.
The engine is a Beta 50 and starts first time every time. I have changed the oil and filter twice since I've owned and the boat has not covered much distance in this time.
The heating system is via a wood burner with back boiler which is linked to 6 radiators with a circulation pump, or the lazy, cleaner option which I use most is pressing the central heating button which fires in the Webasto warming all the radiators. If its really cold (like THE BEAST FROM THE EAST style) you can light the wood burner with the central heating on at the same time and you will find yourself opening windows. The Webasto turns of once up to temp and the wood burner takes over.
I rarely heat the water as I use the shower block on site and to wash the dishes I use the dishwasher. If you choose to heat the water, you can use the engine for 40 mins, the Webasto or the wood burner and it gets piping hot!! These three forms of heating the water can be used for showers on the boat if you can't be bothered to walk to the shower block or you are out cruising..
The boat is 6.4feet high inside I can stand up everywhere and I'm 6'3ft. It took me a while to find a boat with sufficient height for me to be able to on stand up in. Not that I don't still whack my head getting in and out from time to time haha
The toilet is cassette 2x
Fridge Freezer is 240v. Its fine in the summer all day and all night long, but can drain the power in the winter. It would be better suited with a 12v someday.
I have fitted bars to all windows and you hardly notice them but it just adds to the security. However these can be removed if required by one screw from the inside. Its very safe where it is moored currently and I regularly leave it unlocked to nip to the shop, for a shower or for a cheeky pint up the pub. The neighbours are all good people.
The mooring itself is gated and secure. Should you decide to keep it, it has its own long garden with fields as far as you can see. It is non residential, however, roughly 15 of the 20ish boats moored here liveaboard. CRT are aware of this and turn a blind eye, they are fine with it. Some have been living there for 20 years.
Showers, Bins, Cassette disposal, water point and free parking are all included but there is no electricity but you don't need it with this boat. There is a lovely pub and 2x cafes are about 600m from the mooring. A CO-OP 1.5 miles away and Lichfield about 3 miles which has most things. The mooring cost about £175 a month but its just gone up slightly, I can find out how much. Its cheaper if you pay annually.
The boat was blacked in 2015 and I also did it in sept/oct 2018 3x coats of International and another at the water line.. I have a photo to prove this and documents to prove the 2015 blacking. I asked in 2018 for the anodes to be replace but they said they were fine. The boats hardly moved since it was last blacked, only the odd day trip and to the water point.
Boat safety runs out Sept 2022 and it passed fine, but had one advisory on ventilation I have fitted a new vent since.
I had the survey report with the sale of the boat and the over all condition of the hull was good, although the bow thrust didn't work.. I haven't had this repaired as I found the boat easy enough to manoeuvre without this.
Most lighting aboard is 12v LED or mood lighting, giving it a proper cosy feel at night and very kind on the batteries.
Cooker and hobs are Gas
Firstly I have 100% feedback so I will be as honest as I can.
The Bow thrust doesn't work and didn't when I bought it and I've never felt the need for it.
The stern gland will need repacking next time its out of the water to save using the greaser. If the new owner has a survey (at your exspense), I will pay for the stern gland to be done at the same time. If they don't have a survey, I will get a quote and deduct from the price. (Update this will cost £75 at Street Hay)
A couple of skirts need finishing of.
The control unit is broken so I don't know the hours of the boat engine, it was broken when I bought it. All the temp, water, oil gauges work fine.
Age related marks and general ware and tare for a boat of its age.
I'm advertising this boat elsewhere, so it can be removed at anytime.
A £200 none refundable deposit will be taken upon on sale of the boat with a receipt issued.
No time wasters please. The boat is worth the asking price NO OFFERS.
