New windows as of June in excess of £5,000 from Caldwells Windows.
Electrics supplied by Marine Electrical Services LTD
Alternator bespoke mount fitted 1 year ago.
The boat is equipped with the Nest Home Kit, for security, camera monitoring, Nest Protect smoke and CO2 alarms.
All furniture is bespoke designed and manufactured using Birch Plywood and CNC milling, assembled, lacquered and delivered to the boat for installation.
The materials used are of high quality and professional standard. Wall panels and tiling fitted by the owner.
The electrics are designed for heavy usage without the engine needing to be run for generating power. The washing machine is low energy and low water usage at 40L a wash. The washing machine and hob can be used simultaneously, the hair drier and hob and TV. It is a use and forget setup. Enabling 4.5Kw to be drawn at one time without issue.
The 140ah 24v alternator provides average 100ah continuous charge, this varies depending on battery usage and does ensure that within 1 hour 1.5 hours you can recover all energy used that day and create a full tank of hot water for the next day.
The solar in summer has at peak generated 7.5KW in one day, coupled with the large battery bank, you can go from late May to September without needing to run the engine. On average the solar generates 55% of the total power needed for the year lowering the pence per KWH.
Due to the extra insulation and double glazing of the windows, the boat is considerably cooler in summer and stay warmer without heating in winter.
The central heating can be manual controlled with a summer winter valve to have hot water within 30 minutes or mixed with radiators to heat the boat comfortably and quickly. All pipes are lagged and insulated, having worked with Webasto and other heating engineers, the system is designed to heat up quickly and cycle the webasto into the cheapest eco mode as quickly as possible to save money.
The central heating system along with the digital door lock, cameras, smoke detectors and alarm system can be controlled, programmed and monitored from your phone. There is also a GPS, subscription paid and app available.
The boat handles well on tidle waterways and cruises comfortably 3mph at 1,000rpm.
All images of the build process and materials used are available including electrical diagrams, heating and water diagrams and also a thorough handover is on offer.
