Currently in the early stages of construction. Cruiser steelwork, length still to be decided but will be inbetween 50 & 57ft. New steel comprising of 10, 6, 5 & 4mm plating. Fitted with an Isuzu 42 twin alternator engine. 9 no. chrome or brass internally fixed marine windows, which is suitable for a reverse layout. 4 no. chrome or brass mushroom vents and chrome/brass louvre vents to doors. Full ballast and 3/4" exterior grade ply floor. To be undercoated with zinc phosphate red oxide to cabin and 2 coats of 2 pack black epoxy to the hull.
Price for the above between £22,500 inc vat at 15% and £24,500 inc vat at 15% depending on boat length
If deposit taken after Jan 1st:
Price for the above between £22,990 inc vat at 17.5% and £25,050 inc vat at 17.5%
There are two optional extras if desired:
Spray foamed, battened and stainless steel water tank would be an extra over cost of £2100+Vat
To be fully painted to a professional finish in up to 3 colours of your choosing would be an extra over cost of £2150+Vat

Cockney Sparrow 2 is a 64ft Semi trad that was built in 2007 and is a top drawer example that was built by Mike Heywood. This vessel has been built and fitted to a very high standard. A Beta 43hp diesel engine provides the propulsion. There is also a 3kw inverter charger. 240v landline. Soli fuel stove. 4 berth vessel with a fixed double bed and a dinette that converts to a double. Fully equipped galley with a cooker, 12v fridge, washing machine, microwave, lots of storage. Tuskini is an ideal example of a 42 foot semi traditional style narrow boat. She was built by John White Fabrications and professionally fitted by Triton Boat fitters of Manchester in 1999. Hull specification: 8/6/5/4mm. Tuskini is powered by a modern smooth running Lombardini marine diesel engine,serviced 2009, fitted with a PRM 120 gearbox which is housed under the rear deck boards in the easily accessible engine compartment. The cabin is Lined in pine tongue and groove throughout. She has a conventional layout; comprising from the rear of, bedroom with fixed double bed with storage space at both the head and tail of the bed. Bathroom with full size shower, wash hand basin and Thetford Cassette toilet, Galley with gas hob, grill and oven, stainless steel sink/drainer and 12v fridge. The saloon is fitted with a corner cabinet and has plenty of space for loose furniture. The solid fuel stove was removed from this boat by the previous owner and she is still awaiting a replacement although the hearth and chimney collar still remain. A Mikuni diesel heater is fitted and housed in the engine compartment, supplying hot water and heating to the cabin. 12v and 240v fitted throughout with land line hook up on rear deck and inverter. Tuskini is RCD compliant and complete with a Boat Safety Certificate until April 2011. Cratch cover fitted over forward well deck and cover fitted over rear semi traditional cockpit. This boat is ideal for cruising in all weathers and is in need of a loving home. If you are looking for a manageable size boat with a comfy interior then this is definitely the boat for you. THE BOAT HAS JUST BEEN DOCKED, BLACKED AND THE HULL, ANODES AND STERN GEAR WERE ALL IN VERY GOOD CONDITION.

A rare opportunity has arisen to acquire a much sought after Norton Canes Boatbuilders, tug style Narrowboat.
Duke is a 62’ Traditional Stern Narrowboat built by Graham Edgson (Waterways Craft Guild’s Master in Boatbuilding). The boat has a very traditional feel and has been constructed by skilled craftsmen using the finest materials. She is powered by a fully refurbished 1941 Marine Gardner 2LW, which has traditional speedwheel and push pull rod controls.
The whole shell of Duke has been gritblasted and 2-pack blacking applied to a mill scale free surface ensuring that the hull is fully protected. A superb finish to the paintwork has been achieved by applying a number of layers of paint to the fully gritblasted surface. The finishing touches to the paintwork were applied by the renowned signwriter, Dave Moore (Waterways Craft Guild’s Master).
The back cabin and engine room of Duke were completed by the highly skilled boat joiner Mark Williams who is based at Norton Canes. His work demonstrates the attention to detail that is evident throughout Duke.
The rest of the cabin has been sprayfoam insulated, ballasted and floors are in place. Lining out sheeting materials are on board and are included in the price. This consists of Russian Birch ply of best quality which is faced with special order American red oak quarter sawn veneer which has been hand selected from Germany. The lining materials alone cost £7000.
A Heritage compact cooking range is included with the boat; this will provide the cooking and heating required.
The boat is fully wired for both 240v AC and 12 Volt with a professional loom, which can be altered to accommodate changes in layout. Twin alternators supply domestic and starting power, these are allied to powerful traction batteries giving around 800 amp hours.
A build slot to complete a bespoke fit-out of Duke to the highest quality is available in Summer 2010.
The steel spec is 10/6/5.
